A kind of symbiotic worm like the one shown in a game Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, but not changing appearance right away but some powers are starting to show, that can differ from person to person

I have never heard of that game before glancing at it, it seems interesting. So it's a parasite that changes the human body to become stronger and have some sort of abilities? Does the parasite change their personalities as well?
