I'm confused as to why a battery might need to last forever? Not picking a fight, just curious where your thoughts took you to. Almost sounds like your lamenting life being finite xD

Lol, just wondered. It does get inconvenient at times when a car battery dies or when driving long distances using phone GPS it can get too hot or die sooner than getting to your destination. So had the thought of why we havent developed a battery that never runs dry. But I dont know anything of how they're made, so it was just a passing thought and found it funny.

I know how car batteries USED to work, but I can't say I know anything about hybrids/electric ones. Old-fashioned car batteries work through a chemical reaction between lead and an acid solution and all that science bs while the alternator charges it.
I guess if you could replace the battery acid solution inside and the lead was fine, you could make a battery that lasts forever? Not anything I would fuck with.

I have a problem where my car has some kind of electrical short, I think. Headlights are automatic yet if I leave them on auto, it still kills the battery sometimes. Then there's the phone charging, dont put out much at all that phone dies faster than the charge.
I dont know anything so I ain't messing with crap lol.

Not 100% but you can try checking your fuses in the car. Could be a faulty one. They're cheap enough to replace as long as you match up the right colors and amps. Some have a diagram inside the fuse box cover so you can see what is where.

If i can find it lol XD ill give it a check see.

There may be a parasitic draw somewhere as well. My old van had one and if I didn't disconnect the battery each night, by morning it would be dead... So we installed a switch that did it for us.
