    Ugh, somebody had to ruin things for everyone at work... Why do companies act like military where one doesn't follow the rules and everyone on the whole team gets punished? Doesn't seem fair nor does it truly make the offender accountable. I've seen what happens when punishing everyone for one's failure to comply. The offender watched all of us laughing like it was their greatest achievement...

    If you want to reason why companies and militaries act alike, its that both learnt a lot of those techniques from cults, and then implemented them to better extract labour

    More also yeah group punishment sucks, and surely only leans to resentment (of the structure, and/or the offender)

    Exactly. It doesnt do anyone any good to punish everyone. You'd think that those old ways dont work. It just decreases moral and in turn production.

    Yeah, ive tried asking nicely several times but its like it goes one ear and out the other. One of them i see does try but doesnt help get their partner to do the same. After they do finally leave, tho, we are going to have to replace the carpet by how much their tiny yapper has pissed on it. I like helping ppl out, but if they cant respect my home and rules, how can I trust the next person to?
    So tiring, really...

    I guess it comes with being a parent lol. I think its cause im an empathetic person and dont like hurting others regardless the reason. Believe me, I want to chew them out so so bad and get them out. I can only hope that things will get better and soon I can get back into the role I feel my best at in a comfortable home and feel rested without being woken up by yapping all day.

    Yeesh, I think im too stubborn for my own good lol. My city had late pride festival due to too many events last month and I just had to go despite how hot it was. Welp, I had overheated right after walking from parking to the entrance line lol. Still had some fun after I got better. Couldn't stay for the drag show sadly 'cause I had to work.
    I hope everyone is keeping cool and safe during this summer ^_^

    So, call me stupid, but I got to thinking while on the road: for as far technology has advanced so much, we continue to make batteries last longer, yet nothing lasts forever......

    But yeah, electrical gremlins are the worst in machinery cause there's not much that can be done aside from checking the fuses. Replacing wiring is expensive and time consuming and complicated, hence why my fam and I decided to go with the more... inventive solution.

    Okay...either the site draft saving feature messed up or something else. Somebody tell me if this has happened to them:

    Went to read a post, exited the browser to reply later, come back on and typed out my whole post only for it to have an error message when trying to send. Okay, happens sometimes when coming back on, so as always, trusted the draft saver as it has worked every time this has happened, nope. Gone...

    Yeah, the draft feature isn't 100%. But I don't think it's the website entirely. I think browsers and connection types also play a part. Because I've gotten the message, panicked, signed in on another browser and been able to pull up my draft and post it from there. It's fucking weird and no, I don't understand why that is.

    Ugh, I should be able to get to replies tonight. My weekend has been crazy between the raging storm scaring me and the kitty and giving me a raging headache, and my family time...and a headache again. See y'all tonight!

    Say, has anyone wanted to make up their own species of people and their world only to not come up with a decent story idea for it...? Or it feeling a little too Avatar like? I'm no sifi expert either, but kinda think like a Star Trek kinda feel but not...I dunno lol.

    I see lol. Yeah I just dont know what to do with this idea since I really lack the ability to write a story on my own. If I want to roleplay it, the species is completely of my own imagination so it'll be difficult for others to role with it, therefore easier if it plays out like a sifi story. So, I'm thinking of scrapping the whole idea...

    Oh, yeah? I noticed some request threads being more from last year so I wasn't sure if they were still looking, lol. I try checking out some posts if they don't mind my doing so. Still learning the site too and finding it is quite likable compared to the other forums I've tried.

    For the looking for 1x1 area, I look at threads that are active up to a week past the day I am looking. So, if I am looking for a partner today, March 22nd, I look at posts from March 14th-22nd, give or take a couple days. I read their request threads, maybe look at a couple of RPs they have, and I shoot a PM.
